A Little History

I don't have a lot of photos here in Thailand with me, but I thought it might be fun for you to know about me in Scouting in Canada. I was a Girl Guide for many years, but then I joined Scouting for Venturers. We did lots of camping and hiking and I earned my Queen's Venturer Award.

Here I am at a very cold winter camp in Venturers! It was -26 degrees Celsius! Brrr!

I also visited Japan when I was in Venturers and was able to go to a Girl Scout camp there! I met lots of Boy Scouts hiking Mt. Taeko and gave them Scout badges. They gave me a hat from their group!

Me in my Venturer Uniform at a Japanese Girl Scout Camp!

I became a Beaver Leader so I could get my Wood Badge leadership training for my Queens Venturer Award. I loved it so much that I decided I would study to become a teacher!

My grade 5 and 6 students on Scout Day in Thailand!

Pictures blurred to protect student identity.

As part of my teacher training I taught a grade 5/6 class in Thailand for 2 months. It was then that I discovered Scouting in Thailand. Later I accepted a job teaching P2 in Thailand and became involved with the Tiger Scouts here!

My little Tiger Scouts! Working on letters to their penpals!

My other Tiger Scouts, cleaning up at the end of the day!

I look forward to sharing more with you soon!
